Libami pays part or all of the school fees for around 587 children every year. Without this support, hundreds of them would be forced to drop out, and in today's Lebanon dropping out often leads to early child labor or social exclusion. read more
Education is the only true lever to break the cycle of poverty, so keeping sponsorship going is Libami's absolute priority.
Paying the fees is only part of it. Libami's social workers regularly follow around 610 children, spotting difficulties at home and guiding families toward solutions, so a child who stays enrolled also stays supported.
The program depends directly on renewing and growing our donor base, and the goal is that no child is left without a school sponsor.

Every afternoon, around 70 children come to the Libami center for homework help and academic reinforcement. Many have nowhere suitable to study at home. read more
The program has two goals: give children a structured, supportive place to learn, and strengthen their skills so they do not fall behind or fail at school.
Our educators are themselves former Libami beneficiaries, so the children are guided by young adults who have been in their shoes. Libami plans to strengthen this program and improve the space so more children can be guided toward success.

Every day, Libami prepares 70 balanced hot meals for the children in its academic support program, plus 30 more for some of their siblings. read more
The meals are served alongside the daily homework help, because a child who has eaten can concentrate on learning.

Around 130 of the most vulnerable families receive monthly parcels of essential food items, on a rotating basis. They live in overcrowded housing in areas such as Nabaa, Bourj Hammoud, Dekwaneh, Dora, Fanar, New Rawda, Sabtiyeh, Sid El Bouchrieh and Sin El Fil. read more
There is currently no dedicated funding for food supplies, so Libami has to prioritize the most critical cases to keep the response targeted and effective. Every gift here directly widens the number of families we can reach.
Food parcels are part of the wider support that reaches around 483 families each year through food and medical assistance.

Around 423 people a year get access to essential healthcare through Libami, including doctor consultations, medication and emergency surgical interventions. read more

This care sits alongside our social workers, who look after the wider family situation, so that people are supported in mind as well as in material needs.

When the conflict in Southern Lebanon escalated, Libami quickly distributed mattresses, blankets and food supplies to affected and displaced families, giving immediate relief in a critical humanitarian situation. read more
Being able to act fast depends on funds being available before a crisis hits. Libami has committed to consolidating its capacity to respond in times of crisis, and gifts to this project help make that possible.

Around 30 mothers meet twice a month for sessions on parenting skills, managing stress and guiding their children's education. read more
The sessions give mothers a place to share, learn from each other and build confidence, which benefits the whole family. Libami also organizes moments together, such as a Mother's Day celebration at the center and an outing with lunch for around 67 mothers.

Around 30 young people join educational and sports activities every Saturday, and another 30 teenagers take part in cultural and artistic activities that help them develop personally. read more
The clubs give young people a safe, positive place to spend their free time, learn new skills and stay connected to the center.

Each summer, around 60 children aged 6 to 12 take part in a structured day camp. It gives them a happy, supervised summer and helps keep them away from early labor and social exclusion. read more
Through the year Libami also brings families together for celebrations: a big Christmas party for around 330 children with entertainment, a festive meal and gifts, Christmas cakes for around 110 families, activities for around 50 children, and a sports and recreation day for around 55 children.

Chocolate-making and cooking workshops let some mothers build skills and earn complementary income. Their work has been shown at a chocolate exhibition in Achrafieh. read more
The "Solar System" project trains around 10 young people a year in technical skills for the renewable energy sector, opening a path to work.
Libami has committed to developing more sustainable empowerment projects for mothers and youth, so families can earn their own way over time.
